Hakka

Hakka is spoken by 35 million people across southern China, Taiwan, and diaspora communities worldwide. As one of the major Chinese language varieties, Hakka preserves ancient pronunciations lost in Mandarin and features six tones. It uses traditional Chinese characters for writing.
